[wp-svg-icons icon=”link” wrap=”span”] Risk Assessments
Risk Assessments are carried out in accordance with HSG 274, HSE L8 2013 and BS 8558:2015 to identify water systems that might be at risk of colonisation by Legionella or have the potential for creating water droplets / mist that might come into contact with persons inside or outside the building.
The normal operation of the water system / plant will be assessed and any abnormal or unusual circumstances noted. A full written report is provided including schematic drawing and recommendations to maintain compliance with L8.
The risk of Legionella in hot and cold water services can be reduced by:
- Avoiding water temperature between 20°C and 30°C
- Avoiding water stagnation
- Avoiding use of materials that could promote growth of bacteria
- Keeping the system clean
- Using a water treatment scheme if appropriate
